Set up by producer James Baxter and director Jon Mortimer, Mean Time Films’ first production was DINO which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2014. This was quickly followed by the music video ‘Acid Boots’ which premiered at the London International Film Festival in 2014 and, subsequently, received a US premiere at New York’s Lower East Side Film Festival in 2015. We are currently working on a TV pilot and our first feature.

James Baxter – Writer/Producer
James has spent the majority of his career as a magazine editor and journalist contributing to titles such as Esquire, The Guardian and Sabotage Times. He set up his own London-based media consultancy in 2010. James made his first foray into films as Executive Producer on the UK short ‘Out of Order.’ This has subsequently been short-listed at numerous film festivals and screened at BAFTA. In 2012 he established Mean Time Films with director Jon Mortimer.

Jon Mortimer – Writer/Director
Jon is a photographer who has begun his adventure within cinema through making short films. His photographic clients include: The Observer, Vanity Fair and The Independent. His foray into films started with The Suzy Stratagem which was bought in the UK by SKY Movies, he then was commissioned by Film London to make The Mascot which screened at The London Film Festival. He went on to make Soho Story which was shortlisted for The Time Out Magazine Best London Short Film.
